4. What does an SAP Specialist actually do?

There are two main roles: Consultant and Developer. You can explore both – and switch later!

👩‍💼 SAP Consultant

  • Talks with clients
  • Analyzes their business processes (logistics, finance, HR, etc.)
  • Designs solutions and configures SAP systems
  • Writes clean code if it’s necessary
  • Tests setups and trains users
  • Connects developers with business teams
     

👨‍💻 SAP Developer

  • Builds and improves SAP features using ABAP/4, Java, and other tools
  • Works closely with consultants and PMs
  • Focuses on clean code and scalability
  • Sometimes joins meetings to clarify the tech side
     

Both roles need curiosity, problem-solving, and communication skills. SAP is about translating business needs into elegant, digital solutions.

First months your daily tasks will be about learning specialised professional courses on SAP Press and SAP Learning Hub platforms, discussing all questions and tasks with the mentor, learning how to communicate with the client, and getting to know ACBaltica’s internal business processes while exploring special documents and presentations.
